iMusic Therapy: Utilizing the iPad in a Medical Setting

I’m headed to the American Music Therapy Association’s 2012 Conference in St. Charles, IL! Conference is really my time to catch up with my music therapy colleagues, reconnect to my profession, and hear a lot of really amazing talks. This year, I’ll be one of the speakers (gulp!).

I’m really excited to share how I implemented iPad technology during my internship at a medical hospital. Below is a link to my presentation and bibliography. To anyone that attended my talk, thank you for coming. I really appreciate your interest in how technology is evolving in music therapy practice. Feel free to leave any ideas or comments about the topic or how you’ve worked tablet computers into your clinical work!

You can find my presentation and references here

For those of you not familiar with Prezi, it’s the free-form presentation system with the ability to zoom, spin, and shift the content for creative viewing. You can move the window around and magnify or shrink different objects with your mouse. Or, click on the arrow at the bottom of the window to view the order of slides I presented in. The references are below my contact information at the bottom. Contact me if you have problems with viewing and I’d be happy to send you a simpler version.

Hope to see you all at conference!
